Aaron Shattock

Aaron is a former AFL player having played for the Brisbane Lions from 1999-2004, during this time he was a member of the 2002 premiership side! He then played for Port Adelaide from 2005-2006 and is now involved with the Labrador Tigers as a committee member and mid-field coach.
Aaron started his carpentry apprenticeship whilst playing for Brisbane part time, he then went on to complete his Diploma of Building and became a qualified builder in 2012.
“I started out building houses and renovations, more recently I've been site supervising on big commercial projects such as the new Gold Coast Hospital” said Aaron.
Aaron, his partner Claire and their three kids have lived on the Gold Coast for 7 years. In their spare time you can find them at the beach or on a family camping trip!

Todd Featherstone

Todd has been working in the building & construction industry for the past 12 years. He hasextensive experience in all types of home renovations. As an apprentice & in the first few years as a tradesman, Todd worked on a lot of high end homes. He has also had his own carpentry crew for 6 years.

Todd’s role with Smith & Sons Gold Coast North is site supervisor, he ensures everything is running smoothly onsite and updates Aaron with the progress and if any issues arise.

Matthew Daniel

Matthew Daniel

Matt has 4 years’ experience in the building and construction industry. Prior to joiningSmith & Sons he had worked for a skilled carpenter for 2 ½ years, where he gained plenty of experience & learnt a variety of skills from new frames to pergolas.

Matt is currently undertaking his Carpentry Apprenticeship with Smith & Sons Gold Coast North. His role involves assisting the carpenters on site with any carpentry and building work. He is still learning about the building game and working on growing his confidence within the work force.
